NHS priority & conflicts of interest

Superpower Therapy Limited · Effective 25 October 2026

NHS responsibilities take priority

Anna’s NHS duties, patient interests and professional obligations take priority over SPT work. SPT does not provide services where there is any actual, potential or perceived conflict with Anna’s NHS employment. This policy is an additional restriction adopted by SPT; it does not replace Anna’s contract, Trust policies, declaration requirements or any necessary employer approval.

Family support: remote and outside the Trust’s catchment only

SPT offers telephone and secure video-call support only to nursery and primary-age children up to and including age 11 who are outside Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s relevant service catchment. There are no home, school, nursery or other setting visits, and no in-person appointments.

SPT will not provide private services to any child on Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s caseload or waiting lists, including Anna’s own NHS caseload. Independent contact by a family, a school or another organisation does not override these exclusions. Families must disclose relevant NHS service involvement and changes during the work.

Check eligibility before accepting work

Catchment is determined by the relevant Trust service’s eligibility rules and may differ from local authority or postcode boundaries. SPT checks eligibility through private enquiry information before accepting work. No NHS systems, contact lists or confidential records are accessed for SPT screening. Where catchment eligibility or the absence of conflict cannot be established, SPT will not proceed.

No SPT discussions in NHS settings or contexts

SPT business, referrals, bookings, fees and private services must not be discussed in any NHS setting or context. This includes NHS appointments, calls, video sessions, meetings, workplace conversations and NHS communication channels. Anna will not initiate, encourage or ask colleagues to initiate discussions promoting SPT to NHS patients or families. SPT enquiries must use separate private SPT channels outside NHS activity; doing so does not make an otherwise excluded family eligible.

Separate time, resources and decisions

SPT work must not use NHS working time, premises, equipment, email, records, confidential information or NHS-owned materials. It must not affect NHS attendance, performance, availability or patient care. Private financial interests must not influence NHS assessment, treatment, prioritisation, discharge, referrals, procurement or recommendations. SPT does not divert patients from NHS care or offer preferential NHS access.

General professional review work

SPT can undertake remote review of general policies, practice, resources and documents for professional organisations wherever based, subject to an agreed scope, applicable requirements and conflict checks. Geographic availability is not an exemption from the policy. This work must not involve excluded individual cases, confidential NHS information, decisions Anna influences in her NHS role, or promotion of SPT in an NHS setting or context. Prefer anonymised or non-personal documents.

Potential supplier relationships, consultancy, financial interests and organisational work are screened and declared through the required employer processes. Where a conflict exists or cannot be ruled out, SPT will decline the work. Any required employer approval must be obtained before starting.

Changes or concerns

Conflicts and eligibility are reviewed before work starts and when circumstances change. If a new conflict or exclusion emerges, SPT will stop the affected work, explain the position through appropriate private channels and arrange a safe handover where necessary without compromising NHS duties. Existing professional confidentiality and record-keeping obligations continue.

Contact anna@superpowertherapy.co.uk outside any NHS setting or context for private SPT policy enquiries.
