Communication is a superpower.
Let’s explore your child’s.

From sharing a thought to joining in with play, communication is part of everyday life. Superpower Therapy offers children’s speech and language therapy with Anna, an independent therapist who also works in the NHS.

Start with your child

Your child’s interests, strengths and everyday experiences are a valuable starting point for a conversation about support.

Make room for play

A welcoming, child-friendly approach creates space for connection, curiosity and communication.

Bring the family in

You know your child best. Share what matters to your family and what you would like help with.

Remote support. Professional insight.

For families and
professional organisations.

All SPT services are remote. Family support is limited to children outside Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s catchment area. General professional review work is available to organisations wherever based, subject to conflict-of-interest checks and an agreed scope.

Children & families

Telephone and secure video-call support for nursery and primary-age children up to and including age 11, and their parents or carers. Only children outside Stockport Trust’s catchment are eligible. No support is offered to children on the Trust’s caseload or waiting lists.

Professional organisations

Remote review of general policies, practice, resources and documents for SLT organisations, education providers, charities and other professional organisations anywhere. This is general advisory work, not a route to individual clinical support for excluded children. All work is subject to conflict checks.

NHS work comes first.

SPT does not provide services where there is an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest with Anna’s NHS role. No SPT business discussions may take place in any NHS setting or context. Read our NHS priority and conflicts-of-interest policy.

We check the relevant Trust service catchment and caseload/waiting-list status before accepting family work. Catchment means the relevant NHS service’s eligibility area, not simply a council boundary. If eligibility or a conflict cannot be ruled out, SPT will not proceed. We do not offer in-person appointments or visits.

For SEND suppliers & professional organisations

Practical specialist insight.
Thoughtful resources.

Developing resources, refining an approach or building a network of specialists? Superpower Therapy offers a practising speech and language therapist’s perspective on general materials, policies and approaches for the children’s SEND sector.

Anna welcomes conversations with education suppliers, publishers, charities, SLT organisations and other professional teams who want communication needs considered from the outset.

Resources & documents

Review draft guidance, activities, product information and supporting documents from a speech, language and communication perspective. Identify opportunities for clearer language, accessible instructions and more practical use by families and professionals.

Policies & approaches

Discuss general policies, practice frameworks and proposed approaches. Explore how they account for children’s communication needs, where assumptions need testing and which areas may need further specialist input.

Specialist networks

Contribute to advisory conversations, specialist panels and professional networks. Provide an SLT perspective, constructive feedback and questions to support the development of useful resources and services.

A clear brief, with useful feedback.

Start with an introductory call to discuss your audience, objectives and the input you need. We can then agree a focused brief, such as a document review, written comments, a feedback meeting or ongoing advisory input. Scope, time, fees and terms are agreed before work begins, using the published hourly rate.

Work is delivered remotely for organisations wherever based, subject to scope and conflict checks. Please share general, anonymised or non-personal materials. This service does not include individual clinical advice for children excluded by our policy, or imply NHS endorsement.

Anna’s NHS work takes priority. All SPT discussions must take place through private channels outside any NHS setting or context. SPT declines work involving an actual, potential or perceived NHS conflict, and any required employer approval must be in place. Read the full policy.
